The Child Health, Empowerment and Education Surveillance (CHEES)
The Child Health, Empowerment and Education Surveillance (CHEES) Project is a full time operational unit retrieving and rehabilitating 150 Children from working on small-scale mining and quarries in and around Obuasi in the Ashanti and Central regions of Ghana. The CHEES Project will be expanded into other operational Communities over the periods as part of our efforts in enhancing Child Survival, reducing child labour and servitude in communities and workplaces including small-scale miners, farmers and fishermen. CHEES Rehabilitation will work towards Child Health promotion and empowerment of Children, enhancing the rights of the child, back-to-school promotion, vocational and professional support for the out of school through skills training, micro financing links and follow-up on economic progress of clients, if necessary.
